The Picture of Dorian Gray

08 November 2018 @ 7.30pm
Tickets £9 / £7.5 (conc)

Award winning Box Tale Soup (Northanger Abbey) present Oscar Wilde's haunting story of evil, debauchery and scandal, featuring puppetry and a powerful original soundtrack.

Dorian Gray, young and exceptionally beautiful, sinks deep into a frivolous lifestyle of glamorous luxury and selfish abandon, seemingly unchanged by corruption and untouched by age. But behind a thick, locked door, beneath a dark, heavy curtain, Dorian’s portrait tells a different story...

Suitable for ages 12+

Northern Perspective – Godfrey Irving

Northern Perspective – Godfrey Irving

12 October 2018 - 10 November 2018

Granary + Theatre Foyer Exhibition

Northern Perspective is an exhibition which reflects the life experiences which are part of culture that we call the north.  This exhibition represents a tapestry of life in the North East past, present and future

The exhibition is composed mainly of hand produced limited edition intaglio etchings, which represent the artist’s life experience here in the north.

Having lived and worked here all of his life the culture is woven into the artist’s existence and his impressions cover work and the environment in shipyards, coalmines, glass works, foundries and engineering works, that were and are part of the life of our area and its history and people.

Godfrey’s unique style is also used to good effect portraying the landscapes, cities and dramatic environments that characterise our area.

We hope you will enjoy this exhibition and reflect upon its contribution to what is part of our Northern Culture and soul.  It is a unique collection of artist’s impressions that make a Northern Perspective worthy of reflecting on.

All works are for sale.
